Fashion Stylist & Cosmetologist LaKeisha D. Hicks is an entrepreneurial woman of purpose: goal-driven & forward-looking. She has taken her keen sense of style and fostered it with fashion merchandising studies at Ashworth University, to create her fashion company LooK Good Everyday (LKGE).

 

The road to business ownership wasn't easy for LaKeisha. Fortunately, she had the support of her mother, a strong single parent, who encouraged her to have the very best that life had to offer. Along with her mother's encouragement and deep-rooted dreams of success, LaKeisha was and remains able to continue steadfastly in light of many life adversities – especially through the loss of her child while attaining her Cosmetology license from Mergenthaler Vocational High School.

While some give up on life after the loss of a child, LaKeisha found the strength to persevere to accomplish her goals. After many years of working in hair salons, LaKeisha decided to make a career change and join corporate America. She obtained a position at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, but sadly LaKeisha was laid off after 10 years of dedicated service Johns Hopkins. Instead of giving up after her layoff, LaKeisha used this moment of adversity to pursue LKGE full time.

Since her layoff from corporate America and the recent passing of her father in 2010, LaKeisha has maintained her momentum with LKGE. She continues to make forward strides in her business.

LaKeisha's "I-love-looking-good-everyday" personality draws countless people to her for fashion & hair weaving advice. She is able to significantly improve anyone's look — whether it is a simple outfit coordination question or a complex client total makeover project.

Ms. Hicks founded LKGE, in 2005, with the sole purpose to provide professional, quality, and affordable fashion styling services for any size budget, big or small. In addition to the fashion & hair services, LKGE also has a T-shirt line & offers personal shopper services.
